Resealable bags, as the name suggests, are basically a plain poly bag with a press seal closure, made from two pieces of interlocking plastic, at or near the top of the bag. They are commonly used to display or store products, especially large quantities of small items which need to be accessed repeatedly, such as machinery parts or beads. They have many uses and are great when a reusable bag is required.
Resealable bags are usually made with low density plastic (LDPE) for a smooth, glossy finish and are available in clear or in a few basic colours. The minimum quantities for manufacture of clear or white resealable bags are approximately 12 000 for a small bag (size: 250mm x 180mm x 50um), 6 000 for a medium bag (size: 380mm x 250mm x 50um), and 3 000 for a large bag (size: 500mm x 380mm x 50um). Coloured bags require a higher minimum. These bags are manufactured in Australia, and the lead time for custom resealable bags is usually 4 weeks from receipt of deposit.
