Kraft Paper vs Butchers Paper vs Tissue
These three get mixed up constantly, so here is the short version. Kraft paper is the strong one: use it for wrapping, void fill and protection. Butchers paper (newsprint) is a lighter, softer sheet suited to wrapping food over the counter, interleaving delicate items and cheap void fill where strength matters less. Tissue paper is the presentation layer: it protects lightly and looks beautiful inside a box or paper bag, but it is not built to take knocks.

How to Wrap a Parcel Neatly with Brown Paper
- Cut the paper so it wraps the box once with about 50mm of overlap, with enough at each end to cover the sides.
- Place the box top side down in the centre so the seam ends up on the base.

- Fold the ends like a present: sides in first, then top and bottom flaps down, and tape each end.
