Pallet top sheets are flat LDPE poly sheets placed over the top of a wrapped pallet load to protect the top layer of cartons from dust, rain, moisture, and UV exposure during transit, storage, and outdoor exposure. While stretchwrap secures the sides of a pallet, the top is left exposed to the elements — and that's exactly where damage happens during outdoor storage, open-truck freight, or warehouse leaks. A pallet top sheet closes that gap.

Clear vs Black — Which Should You Use?

Both sheets do the same physical job (cover and protect the pallet top), but they differ in optical properties:

• Clear pallet top sheets — fully transparent, lets warehouse staff see the cartons underneath at a glance. Best for: indoor warehouse use where contents need to be visually identified, general carton protection during transit, applications where UV exposure isn't a concern.
• Black pallet top sheets — fully opaque, blocks light and conceals contents. Best for: outdoor storage where UV degrades labels and printed cartons over time, high-value or sensitive goods where you don't want contents visible from the outside, light-sensitive products (some chemicals, plastics, and pigments).

For mixed warehouses where some pallets stay indoor and some get sent outside, many businesses stock both — the choice per pallet then becomes a quick decision at dispatch.

How to Use Pallet Top Sheets

The process is simple and adds only seconds per pallet to the wrapping workflow:

1. Build your pallet load as usual (cartons stacked on a standard 1200×1200mm pallet)
2. Wrap the sides with stretchwrap up to the top of the load
3. Drape a pallet top sheet over the top, centring it so 240mm hangs over each side
4. Fold the overhang down over the top edge and continue wrapping with stretchwrap to seal the sheet against the load
5. Complete the final layer of stretchwrap to lock the top sheet in place

The result: a fully enclosed pallet that's resistant to rain, dust, wind, and casual UV exposure. For long-term outdoor storage or rough freight, the black version adds further UV protection that prevents printed carton labels from fading.

What Size Pallets Do These Fit?

The 1680mm × 1680mm sheet gives 240mm of overhang on each side of a 1200mm × 1200mm load, which is the right amount to fold down and tuck into stretchwrap without excessive waste film.

Different pallet sizes will need different sheet sizes:

• Euro pallet (1200×800mm) — same sheets work but with more overhang on one side
