What is Void Fill?

Void fill stops your products rattling around in the box. Here is what it is and why the modern stuff is so eco-friendly.

What is void fill?

Void fill is a loose, pellet-like material used to fill empty space in a carton and cushion fragile items. It is durable, lightweight (which keeps freight costs down), reusable, recyclable and biodegradable.

The eco-friendly bit

Modern void fill is made from a starch-based material, so it breaks down naturally — a far greener choice than old polystyrene packing peanuts.

For wrapping and cushioning fragile items, pair it with bubble wrap.
