Strapping is one of the most reliable ways to secure a load for shipping or storage. Here is what it is, the sizes we carry, and what you need to use it.
What is strapping?
Strapping is a strong, rigid poly (polyethylene) band that wraps around cartons and pallets to hold them securely during shipping, transport and storage. It is heavily reinforced so it will not give way in transit. Learn more in our guide What is pallet strap?
Strapping sizes
QIS carries poly strapping in three widths to suit light through to heavy-duty bundling, all sold in 1,000 metre boxes:
- 12mm — light-duty bundling
- 15mm — general-purpose freight
- 19mm — heavy-duty loads
Buckles, seals and tools
To lock strapping off you will need plastic or metal buckles or seals, plus a strapping tensioner and tool to pull it tight and crimp it. Browse the full strapping range.
