NWPP bags look and feel like fabric, but there is a bit more to them. Here is what NWPP actually is.
What does NWPP stand for?
NWPP is short for Non-Woven Polypropylene. It is a soft, fabric-like material made from polypropylene threads that are bonded together and pressed with a cross-hatched pattern so they look woven, even though they are not.
Why NWPP is popular
NWPP is reusable, washable and easy to print on, and it comes in a wide range of colours — which makes it a favourite for eco-friendly grocery and promotional bags.
An important note
NWPP is reusable and far more eco-friendly than a single-use plastic bag, but it is not a natural material like calico or canvas — it is still technically a plastic, just a much more durable, reusable one.
