Bubble wrap is the classic protective packaging — here is how it works and how to choose the right size.
What is bubble wrap?
Bubble wrap is a flexible, transparent plastic material with air bubbles sealed between layers, creating a cushioning barrier that protects fragile items during shipping and storage.
Bubble sizes and layers
The bubbles come in different sizes — usually 10mm or 20mm. Larger bubbles give more cushioning for heavier or more delicate items. Depending on the object and the protection needed, you might use a single layer for surface protection or several layers for shock and vibration resistance.
